Virginia Kitch Lupo, MS
Ginny has been a clinical Audiologist for the Marion Downs Hearing Centerat the University of Colorado Hospital since 2001. She specializes in serving the hearing-related needs of all ages with severe to profound hearing loss. She enjoys guiding people through the evaluation process to determine their current hearing status and then finding the right technology and resources to help them reach their listening and communication goals. Ginny coordinates the cochlear implant program with the aim of providing comprehensive, personalized care of the highest integrity and quality.
Education and Field Involvement
Ginny earned her bachelors degree with majors in Speech and Hearing Sciences and Psychology at the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1998. She earned a masters of science degree in Audiology at the University of Washington in Seattle in 2000. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (FAAA). She is board certified in Audiology with a specialty in cochlear implants.
Personal
Ginny grew up in Denver and is happy to be raising her three boys in Colorado. She and her husband enjoy cooking ethnic foods, travelling and talking shop (he is a current otolaryngology resident). They enjoy travelling as a family and have visited several countries but are now focusing on visiting our National Parks with about 20 of the 58 down.
