Vocational Skills Training Program
The Marion Downs Hearing Center offers a variety of classes, workshops, computer skills training, and job readiness training for deaf, hard of hearing, multipl disabled deaf, and deaf-blind consumers. The program addresses a variety of issues and challenges specific to deaf and hard of hearing consumers. Each class and workshop meets twice a week for two hours a meeting at the Marion Downs Hearing Center.
The internship program will provide clients with customized job readiness training as well as serve as a work trial evaluation site. We closely supervise all interns and class participants, providing them with a positive learning environment. Please note that all of our programs are open to both deaf and hard of hearing consumers and taught by an instructor fluent in both spoken English and American Sign Language and supervised by a Licensed Psychologist.
