Vestibular Evoked Potentials (VEMP)
Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials (VEMP): Clinical Utility In The Diagnosis of Vestibular Disorders
(Protocol # 05-1110)
The purpose of this study is to determine the clinical utility of VEMP in the diagnosis of vestibular disorders. In order to determine the clinical utility of VEMP, we will 1) determine the correlation between VEMP abnormalities, caloric irrigation testing results as measured during videonystagmography (VNG) testing, and hearing loss, and 2) define the most useful parameters of VEMP waveform characteristics indicative of specific vestibular and/or central disorders.
