Mental Health Services

The Marion Downs Hearing Center is able to provide specialized counseling and mental health services to individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing (D/HH) and their families. This program provides clinical services that are accessible to individuals from a variety of language backgrounds, including both sign language and oral communication. Services include:

Psychological and Educational assessments of children
Psychological assessments of adults
Consultation with schools and other organizations regarding working with individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing
Job readiness classes for Vocational Rehabilitation referred clients
Time limited individual therapy for D/HH adults presenting with behavioral health issues, primarily anxiety, depression, PTSD, adjustment disorders
Time limited individual therapy for D/HH children with behavioral health concerns
