The Marion Downs Hearing Center is recognized worldwide for its unique leadership and progressive innovations in the realm of hearing and deafness. We value individual and family choice in technology and communication options.

CONSUMER AND FAMILY PROGRAMS
Family-centered practice is the core of the MDHC philosophy. Our holistic approach to supporting individuals of all ages who are deaf or hard of hearing and their families makes MDHC unique. Direct support is provided to families through a partnership with Hands & Voices, a nationally recognized parent-driven organization.

INTERVENTION AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES
The MDHC supports evidence-based early intervention and educational services for children with hearing loss. Programs include distance learning, adult rehabilitation and support classes, a teenage transitional program, and consumer seminars on technology updates.

RESEARCH
Research is a key component of the MDHC. We believe that staying on the cutting edge of assessment and treatment technologies supports consumers in making informed decisions. THe MDHC, at the University of Colorado Hospital, is also affiliated with the The University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine as well as University of Colorado Boulder.

The evolution of universal newborn hearing screening presents challenges for professionals in the areas of early diagnosis, intervention, education, and management. This multidisciplinary conference will facilitate the exchange of information and the sharing of ideas necessary to provide early and appropriate services for infants with suspected or confirmed hearing loss and their families.

General sessions are held each morning featuring speakers of national renown for their scientific expertise and exceptional teaching abilities.
