Hearing Aid Consultations and Fittings

A hearing aid is an electronic device that amplifies sound. You must have some ability to hear for the hearing aid to work properly. Because hearing loss affects people in different ways your audiologist will discuss the different styles and options available and will help you with the selection of the proper hearing aid/s specific to your hearing loss. MDHC carries many different brands and levels of technology.

Today's hearing aids are digital – small computers for your ears. Your audiologist will discuss the different levels of digital technology and help navigate your options. The selection process will be based on current data regarding your hearing loss (type, degree and configuration), future audiological needs and preferences. The purchase of a hearing aid includes audiology services for adjustments and programming.

We provide free hearing aid consultation appointments for patients who want to ensure they are maximizing their existing hearing aid technology or for those who want to explore alternate technology options. We require that you bring your most recent audiogram, preferably completed within the last year. Our Hearing Aid Program offers comprehensive, high-quality services.
